My five year old niece has stamped “There’s a Tiger in My House” as one of her favorite books. My niece was totally engaged in the story to the point she seemed to be helping Kayin search for the Tiger. This was a charming story with beautiful pictures and writing that engaged my niece from beginning to end. She seemed to literally join Kayin’s heroic efforts to find and capture the tiger in the house. Her expression when she learns where the tiger is hiding was priceless. The author offers a final surprise after the main story when he introduces a special chapter showing beautiful pictures of real Tigers and their natural habitats.
